St. Francis-St Maxmilian Parish at 23965 Twenty-Three Mile Rd., Macomb, MI 48042 US - Maintenance Crew
| Maintenance Crew |
The St. Francis-St Maximilian maintenance crew, more commonly known as the "Dirt and Donuts Guys", is a group of volunteers that perform many of the routine maintenance items around our church buildings. They generally meet every Wednesday during the summer months to cut the grass, tend the flower beds and any other outdoor maintence. On the first and third Wednesday of all 12 months, they start the day with breakfast at "Coney USA" at 23 Mile and Gratiot, followed by the unloading of our food pantry delivery into the basemant of the parish center building an 23 Mile Rd. Then it's off to the church campus to get the grass cut, weather permiting. They also handle many of the set up and maintenance tasks inside the church, except for the cleaning. In spite of the title, several women parishoners also participate in this informal group. Any and all are welcome to join in on the work and comradery. Amos Clotfelter is the unofficial leader of this bunch, see his picture in the parish council directory.
